6 Concreeto highlights of 2020!

    Wow, what a year! 2020 was a year full of contrasts. We experienced some truly great moments—but of course, we also felt the impact of COVID. Less time at the office, less time together, and limited freedom to move around… Fortunately, the work kept going strong and we didn’t have to sit still for long! All the more reason to look back and reflect on everything we achieved in 2020. Ready to join us for a quick look at the highlights? Let’s go!

    1. A stable employer

    The introduction of the WAB Act had a big impact on the staffing industry. For us, it meant adjusting many of our contracts. After attending several seminars and updating our systems, we managed to handle it all—without causing any inconvenience for our temporary workers or clients.
    And if that wasn’t enough, this year also forced most of us to work from home. You’d expect that to have a big effect on the number of hours worked. But together, we only logged about 5% fewer hours than in 2019!
    We’re incredibly proud that, even in such a strange year, we remained a stable employer.

    2. Office makeover

    After many years, our office was ready for a fresh new look—something that fits our brand and who we are. Together with Keytoe and Hoogerwerf for Office, we gave our workspace a complete makeover. The result? A fantastic new interior, beautiful visuals, a true Rotterdam-style storefront, and even a container wall! We hope we’ll be able to fully enjoy our new space in the new year—and that we’ll be welcoming you there soon, too!

    3. Concreeto GO!

    In 2020, we launched a fantastic new initiative: Concreeto GO!
    With this project, we help young people in Rotterdam find their place in the job market with better guidance and real opportunities. When we learned that the city struggles to effectively tackle youth unemployment, we knew we had to act. Because honestly, how is it possible that only 1 in 10 unemployed young people gets proper support from the municipality, while there are so many opportunities in our beautiful port city?

    4. Video, video, video

    Maybe you’ve already seen it on our social media channels, but we launched our very own company video in 2020!

    Together with Schwung, PixelX, Keytoe, our clients—and you!—we gave a face to all the sectors we work in. Haven’t seen the video yet? You can watch it in full [here]. And yes, it’s also featured on our homepage header!

    5. Special campaigns for our temps and clients

    In a year like 2020, it’s more important than ever to appreciate the people who make it all happen: our temps and our clients. That’s why we organized several special campaigns to show our appreciation. We kicked off the year with a Valentine’s Day campaign where we handed out blue roses, and ended the year with warm buffs (which also double as face masks).

    And don’t forget our Cash Cards! Each time you refer a new worker who stays with one of our clients for at least 6 weeks, you receive a €100 growth bonus, paid directly into your salary. Not bad, right?

    Also worth mentioning: our newsletter! This year, we launched a monthly WhatsApp newsletter to keep our temp workers in the loop. Not receiving it yet, but want to? Send us a message—let us know whether you prefer the Dutch or English version!

    For our clients, we launched custom-made gift boxes filled with fun and tasty surprises—of course, fully in Concreeto style. Hopefully next year we can do even more of these great actions!
     

    6. Top scores in audits

    In 2020, we achieved the maximum score in two major audits.

    First, we passed the NEN 4400-1 & NBBU CLA audit with flying colors. This means we fully comply with all industry rules. Later in the year, we also scored the maximum in the VCU & SNF audit.

    SNF focuses on proper housing for labor migrants, and VCU stands for the Health & Safety Checklist for Staffing Agencies. These certifications prove that we provide safe and healthy working conditions for our temps. And the results speak for themselves: in 2020, there were no serious accidents among our workers.

    Looking back, moving forward Plenty of highlights in a year that—let’s be honest—could have easily felt like a low point.

    We’re extremely proud of everything we’ve accomplished together this year. And we’re determined to continue this positive momentum into the new year, whatever it may bring.
