All the products we use in our daily lives are made in the industry. Working in the industry means working accurately, creating things and often getting your hands dirty. It is not just working in factories and with machines, it is working in the entire production process. From flange fitters to industrial cleaners and from welders to forklift drivers: the possibilities are endless. Would you like to work in the industry? In this article we tell you all about this sector, the possible jobs and the skills you need for it!

HOW IS THE INDUSTRY DOING?

The industry suffered greatly from corona, but fortunately it recovered faster than expected. In 2021, the number of jobs in the industry was already increasing again. The industry is still in great need of manpower, such as flange fitters and industrial cleaners. In addition, there is a high demand for higher educated personnel, such as work planners and project leaders. Enough possibilities of working in the industry.

WORKING IN THE INDUSTRY

The industry is a sector for doers with an eye for quality. Working in the industry is extremely versatile. Whether you ensure that the industry remains operational and safe as an industrial cleaner or you ensure an organized warehouse as a forklift driver; we always need new personnel in the industry. For the vacancies we often have at Concreeto in the industry, you shouldn’t be afraid to make your hands dirty. It often is physical work in which you have to roll up your sleeves and work hard.

The work in this industry is much more modern than many people think. Due to robotization and automation, the demand for people with ICT skills, people who can analyze data and people with knowledge of electronics and sensors is growing. Yet there will always be a demand for people who can do the physical work. These people will continue to be needed and will make a difference in the industry, both now and in the future!

A MANDATORY SAFETY CERTIFICATE

To be able to work in industry you often need a safety certificate, called a VCA in Dutch. Everyone in the workplace must be aware of the safety regulations made. Because working in industry is physically demanding and it can be dangerous work, there is a lot of focus on working safely. Inattention in industry can quickly lead to a serious accident. That is precisely why having a VCA is very important.
